For over 80 years, Open Bible has been sending missionaries to go and make disciples of all nations. This passion is the core of our mission. Throughout the world, Open Bible is starting and building churches. We are reaching out to those in the 10/40 Window and the Muslim world in countries like Senegal and Guinea, West Africa. Open Bible is making disciples and training leaders through the INSTE program. We provide opportunities for short-term missions outreaches; medical help in Papua New Guinea, Liberia, and an undisclosed country; food for the destitute in Cuba, Uganda, India, and other countries; rehabs for alcoholics and drug addicts; and ministry to the poor, orphans, and widows in many nations around the world.
Global Missions is much more than an office in Des Moines, Iowa. It is the Open Bible ministries we have in 44 countries around the world. This includes 1,600 churches – 50 of which are less than two years old. Caring for our missionaries sent overseas and supervising our national field directors in these 44 nations is at the heart of what we do. Our missionaries and national field directors represent tens of thousands of Christians – and even more millions of lost souls that they are trying to reach for Christ. The
Global Missions office, through relationship, accountability, counsel, training, and directors’ conferences help them more effectively “Go and make disciples” of the nations. Contributions to the Global Mission Leadership Fund enable Open Bible Churches to facilitate hundreds of ministries in these 45 countries that are reaching the lost, multiplying churches, training leaders and pastors, making disciples, and helping the poor.
Your support for the Global Missions Leadership Fund provides vital fuel for Open Bible’s Global Missions to strategically serve in the following ways:
Be a part of helping preparing missionaries to go to the field, welcoming them home, and helping them with re-entry. Assist with missionary vehicle upkeep, communication, counseling, resourcing, and crisis management.
National Leaders Care:
Over 1,600 churches, most in countries where one day of your wages equals one year of theirs, need training for pastors and leaders, project guidance, strategic planning, and visionary gathering times – like Global Regional Conferences and Field Directors’ Congresses. Be a part of resourcing Open Bible churches around the world.
You want to give, but how can you be sure your money will go where it’s needed most? When you give to Global Missions you provide the means to coordinate with Women’s Network’s overseas giving, Men of Vision building projects, and other overseas projects like new churches, schools, and medical clinics – all with the assurance people who lead those projects are held accountable.
Natural disasters of all sorts, hungry and starving children and adults, abandoned children, and people who die from sicknesses from a lack of medical care are a daily fact of life around the world. The Global Missions Leadership Fund enables us to coordinate the distribution of relief aid. You may give directly to humanitarian and relief aid through the Global Harvest Offering.
Our leaders overseas want to communicate with you. When you give to Administrative Services you help provide communication tools such as the Global Impact, a quarterly bulletin insert sent to all churches; the Global Daily Prayer Guide, sent bi-monthly to those who request it; and the Hotline, a weekly online prayer and praise report.
